A busy few weeks as the holiday season starts to build! In addition to our events and some of our partners activities this week, it is important to highlight a couple of business advocacy related items in the news this week. As recognized by both the County of Brant and City of Brantford municipal councils, the Chamber supports their efforts to work together through the Joint City-County Shared Services Committee, and appreciates the opportunities, and challenges, that are present in this important endeavour.

Two items of interest to communities across the province are in the news lately in Brantford-Brant. Physician Recruitment for our region remains an ongoing concern, and this issue is an essential one for businesses looking to relocate or expand in Brantford-Brant. The Chamber will continue to support the efforts to enhance physician coverage in Brantford-Brant, and advocate for a better provincial strategy on this issue.

Continuing in healthcare, some national and international level progress is being made in the fight against opioid addiction. A long way to go, but addressing the supply side of the issue will help.

Enjoy the remaining fall weather this week!
